I'd hate my daughters to have to share bathrooms, what next, swimming pool changing room and showers? with males who don't know what to do with their bits ...

And what about 'females' who look and act like Mongrel Mobsters as per my example above? Where would you have them go?

There's possibly an opening for one in the whitehouse.  Kellyanne seems to be MIA.

Summary of the great benefit to the US public of her absence here

“I had lost my zest for life,” Carol Foyler, a poll respondent, said. “Now that Kellyanne Conway is gone, I greet every day with a smile, I feel my energy coming back, and I want to have sex again.”

This article was quoted in the UK Parliamentary Trump State Visit debate of 20 February, and is worth reading:

Pimping out the Queen for Donald Trump

The Guardian 5th Feb 2017

Andrew Rawnsley

EXTRACTS:

...  Some ministers mutter that the big mistake was to issue the invitation to make an early state visit to Britain, a notion conceived as a way of flattering his colossal vanities. At the very least, it would have been prudent to wait before rolling the royal red carpet. Pimping out the Queen for Donald Trump. This, apparently, is what they meant by getting our sovereignty back.

...  You can argue that Theresa May, our somewhat accidental prime minister, is a victim of her baleful circumstances. She just happens to have ended up in charge when the music suddenly stopped.

...  What is [May's] responsibility is how she navigates these unprecedented times. If President Trump proves to be as calamitous as he is threatening to be, she will pay for taking too short a spoon when she supped with him. If Brexit goes horribly wrong, a lot of the people who voted for it will conveniently forget what they did in the referendum and blame her. As another, and rather better, US president once said about leadership: the buck stops here.

Why is it OK for your daughters and you to "share" (i.e. use separately but sequentially) a toilet, but it is not OK for you to share these facilities when they're public? Why is it OK for disabled men & women to "share" toilets with each other, but this doesn't apply to able-bodied people?

At what age does this segregation need to happen? IIRC, kids at child-care centres and maybe primary schools "share" toilets.

Here at my work, men & women "share" the same toilets without issue. At Lower Hutt's swimming pool, men & women "share" changing cubicles.

The objection seems to be very Victorian, and based on FUD of what these "different" people might do with their bits whilst in the toilet.

Sorry I meant open showers etc. Didn't consider locked cubicles as sharing.

I am confused. So the girls toilets are not locked cubicles?!

Mar-a-Lago

"Trump renovated the estate, adding a 20,000-square-foot (1,900 m2) ballroom to the 58 bedrooms, 33 bathrooms, a 29-foot-long (8.8 m) pietra dura marble top dining table, 12 fireplaces, and three bomb shelters."

Also from the Wikipedia article :-

After unsuccessfully trying to purchase and combine two apartments in Palm Beach for his family, Donald Trump learned about the estate and offered $15 million. After the Post family rejected the offer, Trump claimed he had purchased (he didn't purchase it until after he bought Mar-a-Lago) the land between Mar-a-Lago and the ocean and threatened to build a building that would block Mar-a-Lago's beach view, which caused the Post family to accept his last offer of less than $8 million in December 1985.

Wouldn't that be considered fraud?

Normal Trump business ethics.  He's being doing that sort of stuff for decades.  undecided

Now that he is under much more intense scrutiny, hopefully he'll finally get what's coming to him.

Does anyone know why he still appears to be still campaigning? He is still bringing up the Hillary name a lot, and he is still doing rallies. Doesn't he understood he won? One bizarre thing I witnessed on TV where he was quoting a past presidents speech, and he mentioned a date, and then said (my birthday), within the speech, as if people actually care that the date was his birthday? It does seem it is all about 'him'. But I don't see him as a being a problem for the US, as they do seem to have quite a lot of checks and balances in place. Probably more so than in NZ, where councils can relatively easily bring in their own bylaws. Obama though can't be happy to see some of his laws reversed. In some ways I do wonder if the US wouldn't be better served if it was broken up into different sections, as it does seem be be  a country divided. If anyone has watched or read Man in a High Castle, it is about the US divided up into sections, if Germany had won WWII, and is quite interesting.

I put it down to ....

1. The desire to be constantly adulated by supporters.

2. Political novice.

3. Crap advisers.

well the USA is completely different when it comes to State laws , not much Trump can do with them. Even Taxes are different state to state. The southern States are like a different country compared to California and other western States.

Common sense is not as common as you think.
