I think this sums it up perfectly and shows just how irresponsible Trump is being given at his size and age its highly possible the US will end up with this isolationist kid as president in Trumps term. JDs position on Ukrain is just moronic and defeatest imo, given all they need is some help to finish the job.

Wes Moore (who is one of the high polling Dems above Biden) puts JD into an easier to digest description, Shape Shifter. You go to Wiki and look at Wes Moores achievements which he largely has done by himself without a Billionaire fan boy helping, that is remarkable, that is inspiring. Not to mention he actually risked his life for his country for a lot longer period rather than doing a back office role just to use the system (its annoys me)

gzt: JD Vance is a genuinely and exceptionally smart guy with exceptional achievements on his cv. His book Hillbilly Elegy gained him support from some Democrats - I found the book to be reprehensible.

...the audience for Hillbilly Elegy wasn’t the people living in industrial Ohio or Kentucky or Pennsylvania experiencing the ravages of the opioid crisis and outsourcing. It was written for people in Washington, D.C., New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. It was sociological political entertainment at its finest, the sort of thing that allowed a certain class of commentators to craft grand theories and feel close to a problem without having to experience it.

What was fascinating about Vance’s speech at the RNC is how that message was almost inverted. He spoke of coming from “a place that had been cast aside and forgotten by America’s ruling class in Washington,” complained that “America’s ruling class wrote the checks. Communities like mine paid the price,” and praised impoverished “hardworking people” who would “give you the shirt off their back” but are spit on by a “media [that] calls them privileged.”

I hate to accuse people of naked cynicism—people change, sometimes for good reasons!—but it really does feel like Vance learned, all-too-quickly, that you can make money by selling an idea to one set of people and gain power by selling a different idea to a different set of people. Voters don’t want to be told they’re to blame for their problems. They want a scapegoat. And Vance was happy to give it to them.

Sounds just like a certain orange buffoon I know of, when he said something like "all of your problems are the fault of these people over here" 🙄

precisely, two peas in a pod.

heck a lot of us grow up in rough conditions, and opioids effect most of the civilised world. Its far from a working class problem.

also Biden has created a lot of jobs for the middle class.

Trump and JD keep talking about the deep state and the Elites, but THEY are the deep state and will destroy the low unemployment numbers under Biden while removing the taxes Biden has put in place to encourage wealth from the middle not the top which is what Trump/JD are planning, yet they are selling the complete opposite. Its in plain sight, how can people blindly just go along with stating the direct opposite of what they have said they well do. Its like Zombie mode.

Just ignore Trumps dozen or so major violence provocations, ignored by Repubs, Zombie mode. Vances ex boss on it all.

There is very little in the video above. Imo all this kind of stuff has only a tiny marginal effect on any Trump voter. Good luck to him anyway. Maybe it will remind any democrats who like the guy for some reason.

I think the people who liked Vance have largely flipped now.

If his wife was in the position of some of these potential rape or other abortion related cases, do you think he would think two wrongs dont make a right then? These type issues show just how small minded and bigoted he is.

Trump will hold the world hostage for its Military Muscle, I dont think he will be as extreme on isolationist viewpoints as JD.

The thing is, I use to like the Repub party, and I really wish Haley had got the nominee (how well she did shows how many non maga repubs are out there).

So far the Dems have done a terrible job of targetting that 20% non trumpers as seen in the protest votes once Haley dropped out. Both parties are wanting a younger president, Dems have to pull on the Nikki Haley policies.

I think it will come down to delegate voting. The more I look at Wes Moore the more I think he should be involved. I also do not believe you need a female to gather the womens rights. If it goes down the path of "the most competent candidate", which is what that massive RV poll showed was the clear majority of choice for top of the ticket, I dont know if Harris will get the job, especially with the polling showing a ~5% preference for those other options.

Just listen to how calm and collected Wes Moore is on YT. He gets the Black votes obviously, name recognition, strong moral fibre which comes across when speaking. Shapiro I think will get the running mate position either way, name recognition without the baggage of Newshom. Heck, all of them have more name recognition than JD.

But we dont even know if Biden will step aside yet.

Overstated in all the usual places like Fox and Sky. I've watched a few clips just now and I would not say that at all. Sure he's going slower up and down steps compared to his usual pace but that's about all there is too it.

He does appear though to be showing signs and symptoms of a variant of idiopathic Parkinson's disease called progressive supranuclear palsy.

But like all these neurological diseases it comes down to the correct interpretation of the signs and symptoms being displayed.

Apparently he has been diagnosed with an arthritic spine and neuropathy of the feet (peripheral neuropathy) both of which would affect his walk/gait and the swing of his arms. Franklin D. Roosevelt was elected as the only physically disabled president and served his 3 and bit terms from a wheel chair. JFK had to take a cocktail of medications and high end pain killers due to a back injury and Addison's disease.

Presidents old and young have all had medical conditions, known and unknown to the public, but they were mentally fit to hold the Oval Office. (?? the 45th on that point) Is President Joe Biden's medical problems becoming insurmountable, only time will tell but what is telling is the perception of his health and that is not looking at all good.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Thanks for the detailed info. I thought covid could hit him quite hard. His immune system has taken a battering with all the world conferences and campaigning.

His actual health really isnt the issue anymore though, its the Optics that the likes of Fox/Sky are SPAMMING media channels and Elons personal politicized platform (formally known as Twitter).

The Center and left leaning like MSNBC, abc australia, are all playing way to nice. Meidas Touch on YT are being honest and blunt, they have shown just how much brain degradation Trump has. The problem is they are one YT channel. Biden said we need to get off me and put the bulls eye on Trump which was in context to his mental faculties. Which is what the Dems need to hurry up and start blasting out. Time for feeling sorry for Trump is surely over. The guy is a felon. Many dont care, but the fact is he is the one who has encouraged Violence. not Biden, so it came around and nearly took him out. The dems going soft on him is going to lose it for sure.

I think if Biden is not able to shake covid off by the weekend regardless of just how good he is at the job, the Optics need to change. I think its quite possible one of those members that the 15k Dem Reg Voters have put ahead of Biden and Harris, will likely fill the role. For me, Wes Moore is prob the best speaker who is well known with no baggage and a great background, but any of those 4 main ones are caoable. They need to keep showing they are pushing for peace in gaza and Ukr (dont mention military support), womens reproductive rights, tightning the border and making the public fully aware they tried to put in a bipartisan supported bill but Trump, not even in office had Mike Johnson squash.

I believe a likeable younger option like Moore or the other 4 options, the country could flip toward with talking up the big issues. The Repubs who are swing voters buying into Trumps hot air Maga will flip. I think it was close to 70% on both party polls that wanted a younger new direction.

One big thing that will help is the Federal Bank dropping the % rates, which should occur soon.

That's an interesting one but from a symptoms perspective the kind of things we've seen could be consistent with being overtired one day and having a sore ass another day. Biden's team has said he was examined in Feb by a neurologist and there were no neurological issues. That report I think was released to the public. Presidents being what they are almost no one really trusts White House doctors and that's probably fair enough. The evidence is relatively thin.

I believe it was more the Repub, Fox/Sky, Elon/Twiiter etc just chose to ignore it and pumped out overtly BS journalism/social media influenced Trolling (FBI just removed 900 Rus bots from the platform). The weaponised his age. So Biden had full right to say now lets put the bullseye on Trump, which imo was obvious what he meant, he never said target or crosshairs, then you get another bunch of trolling on just that word. It was the Dems who came out 6 months ago saying his/their rhetoric is insigting violence with bomb threats etc and 85% of the public afraid their would be political violence.

Christo-fascist insiders rigging the judicial system to provide pres immunity/King, Clarence Thomas corrupt. I love Jasmine Crockett.

Several outlets are reporting pass-the-torch democrats are funding a super-pac and it has purchased advertising on Morning Joe breakfast news which is claimed to be Biden's favourite tv show:

ABC-3340: Members of President Joe Biden’s political party made a major television advertising campaign buy on Friday to urge the incumbent to withdraw from his reelection campaign.The TV spot features diverse voters from Pennsylvania. Democratic voters from the must-win swing state thank Biden for winning the 2020 election to “save democracy” and say there is only one way for the 81-year-old president to “do it again.”

I'm not sure how that would work hypothetically. A safe pass to Harris might be the least disruptive and ratify at the convention. It's all about timing if that's the way it's going to go. Either way, it's entirely up to Biden if that's what he wants to do if he has good reasons.

I dunno, I know The Lincoln Project used to run their ads for "an audience of one", and they would only screen in Florida, Washington DC and/or New York (where someone lived at the time). Apparently they really got under his skin too. So maybe targeted advertising does work.
