Kim Jong Un is so FAT! Has anyone else noticed that? He seems able to walk okay (no waddle) but he is really big. He was fat before but in recent photos he has clearly gained. What is the chance he may have an early heart attack?

I'd wish for a heart attack if my hairdresser did that to me.

breaking

Former Proud Boys leader Henry “Enrique” Tarrio, convicted of leading the group that one judge called “the tip of the spear that allowed people to end up getting into the Capitol” on Jan. 6, 2021, was sentenced Tuesday to 22 years in prison, the longest sentence yet among the hundreds convicted of disrupting the peaceful transfer of presidential power.

Tarrio, 39, was convicted of seditious conspiracy and obstructing the congressional proceeding meant to confirm the 2020 presidential election ...

Good. A bit of time for this deplorable to think about his seditious ways.

For the first time ever, I say "Thank you President Ronald Regan"

Due to him, and the "hard on crime" Republicans, there's no parole for federal crimes. So 22 years sentence = 22 years in jail.

Wiki: Federal parole in the United States

For persons convicted under civilian federal law after 1987, federal parole has been abolished.

what I’m worried about is if the orange buffoon does actually win the White House, that he may start pardoning these jackasses.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

What is happening in America is nothing less than a battle for the soul of the nation. It could go either way. I have to say I am stunned by the reported support Trump is getting in the polls. I just hope that is an anomaly.

I saw a guy on tv outside Trump's arraignment saying if this can happen to an ex-president it can happen to anyone. I think it's the other way around.

I don't think it is, despite him being a traitorous s--tbag, a portion of the electorate loves him and he can do nothing wrong in their eyes, ever.

However, Independents don't - and a lot of the time, they decide the election.

The NY Times - Peter Navarro Convicted of Contempt of Congress

breaking

Peter Navarro, a trade adviser to President Donald J. Trump, was convicted on Thursday of two counts of criminal contempt of Congress over his defiance of a subpoena from the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.

The verdict, coming after nearly four hours of deliberation in Federal District Court in Washington, made Mr. Navarro the second top adviser of Mr. Trump’s to be found guilty of contempt for defying the committee’s inquiry.

Stephen K. Bannon, a former strategist for Mr. Trump who was convicted of the same offense last summer, faces four months in prison ...

The defendant chose allegiance to President Trump over compliance with the subpoena” - Elizabeth Aloi, prosecutor.

Regarding Peter Navarro, a former trade adviser to President Trump defying a subpoena from the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol

Does Peter think that Trump would go to prison protect him?

Or does Navarro believe the constitution's checks and balances is for chumps, the unclean masses?

On the appeal, it'll be interesting to hear if the Supreme Court has turned completely into the kangaroo court.

Regarding the 22 years sentence to the Proud Boy terrorist: DeSantis and Ramaswamy Call Proud Boys’ Sentences ‘Excessive’ and ‘Wrong’ - The New York Times (nytimes.com)

“They just walked into the Capitol. If they were B.L.M., they would not have been prosecuted,” Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida said of some defendants in an interview with Newsmax on Wednesday, adding that he would consider pardoning them.

Another candidate, Vivek Ramaswamy, declared on X, formerly Twitter, on Tuesday in response to the sentences, “This is wrong & it’s sad that I’m the only candidate with the spine to say it.” In a statement on Wednesday, he vowed to pardon all “peaceful, nonviolent” Jan. 6 participants and said, “America now has a two-tiered justice system: Antifa and B.L.M. rioters roam free while peaceful Jan. 6 protesters are imprisoned without bail.”

In the cases of Mr. Tarrio and other Proud Boys leaders, the more serious charges of seditious conspiracy — and the harsher sentences — stemmed from their attempts to overturn a democratic election or prevent the government from carrying out essential business. Federal law defines seditious conspiracy as two or more people plotting to overthrow the federal government by force, to wage war against it, to seize federal property or to, by force, “prevent, hinder or delay the execution of any law of the United States.”

"Peaceful" and "nonviolent".

Republican candidates are the definition of deplorable.
