This latest episode in the White House soap opera I believe has damaged the brand possibly for ever or the next 10 decades. Above all else he has shown that he has no class what so ever.
I agree. While its just another mindless tweet, I think he is over the boundaries now for his supporters. Im sure many Trump supporters are praying to give us 2 weeks off Twitter or we give up. I feel that this is the start of a more aggressive downward slide from GOP, Republicans and Trump supporters towards him. That in itself will wind him up, a good spiral to watch unfold
I wish I could agree with you, but I see no evidence of that.
Now that's clearly no great record when most of the time Trump has less than 40% support vs 55% against, however:
I don't see any particular trend apart from post inauguration honeymoon period cool-off.
I don't expect that the WH is too worried - yet. The Republican Party has blatantly gerrymandered electorates and worked to make voting for as difficult as possible for many. Trump's lies about voter fraud - for which he has no evidence - would go down well with the GOP, they'll want to extend that system nationwide. That's why there's a stacked "voter fraud commission". You don't set up such a commission when there's no credible evidence of voter fraud to begin with - there's little doubt it's set up to create an illusion that there is an issue, then "fix" that by implementing policies which you know will suppress (Democrat) voters by putting obstacles in the way of voter registration and voting.
Democracy is under attack in the USA.
And anyway - why would Trump worry about his own pig-ignorant tweet? He was elected POTUS despite "pussygate", despite misogynist rants, despite racist rants, despite lying through his teeth.
