I don't think he'll be impeached any time soon.

He's launched crony capitalism V2.0, which for the time being the markets clearly love - corporates/industry unbridled from regulation which was put in place to protect the consumer, the environment (IOW "us" on our planet) from entities that don't care a damn. They also don't care about government debt - so long as government doesn't take action to reduce debt. There's no sign of that, with plans to reduce company tax rates, then US debt growth will accelerate. They'll defend that (increase in debt) by whataboutism - "look what happened under Obama" without accepting the circumstances behind that (GFC).

Many of those doing well will continue to put their mouths where their money is, and support Trumpism.

Actually the report on the Nobel nominations was in error - Trump and Putin are front-runner nominees for the 'Piece' prize. Candidates must prove that they already dominate, and are loathed by, the citizens of at least one large country or continent, and that they are passionate in their desire to extend their control over more 'pieces' of the globe, especially territories whose citizens have considerable nuisance value for the winning candidate.

Typical examples of these are newly independent States of the former Soviet Union, and the notoriously pesky New Zealand, which country has caused numerous problems for the US because of it's refusal to disclose its hokey pokey ice-cream recipe, or allow visits from US nuclear powered warships, most of which are only slightly smaller than Manhattan Island and need large harbors, like Auckland, for berth space.

Such territories will, of course, need local governance, and it's rumored that both Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin have been conducting secret talks with New Zealand's current Deputy Prime Minister-elect, Winston Peters.

I have a friend who is in country at the moment, in the relevant region, and he confirmed to me that there is a big situation.

Democracy in Burma is a bit of a veneer, no matter what the UN would like us to believe.
