Obama and G W Bush should concentrate on writing books and tending rose gardens at their presidential libraries rather than having a go at Trump for dividing America.   Bush has probably forgotten that he took the USA into two disastrous wars.    Obama has probably justified in his own mind the bombing and killing of innocent Pakistani villagers.    Two of the worst presidents in modern history.

I'd actually give Trump a pass on that as a good joke. Mocking religiosity can be good sport - Jesus would approve.

The failure is that Trump has him as VP, as jokes aside, Pence is an evil bastard - and Trump clearly knows this.  Pence is an extremist - with appeal to reign in support from evangelists who'd be most at home if The Handmaid's Tale was fact not fiction.

In case the way you've quoted the Snopes article above suggests to anybody that The New Yorker has posted "fake news" - here's a link to the article.

As far as Snopes article goes, the concluding comment almost needs an /s tag.
