"If you throw out September of this year, when job gains were depressed by hurricanes, Trump's monthly average is closer to Obama's, at 185,000, but the change in administrations doesn't appear to have had much effect on the overall job market."
Makes sense. An economy like the US is a slow moving behemoth, any regular changes, good or bad take time to filter in. What Trump means is that due to Obama's growth in employment, we are still getting that benefit under me, so on that, I shall take credit. Should employment fall, that's due to Obama. "Let's see"
I have to laugh at being accused of posting "fake news" when the accuser used a quote like that - to paraphrase:
"Let's cherry-pick to make an exception - so we can refute a fact by making an accusation that it's "fake news".
That (relative job growth) wasn't the point of my post anyway - which was that Trump's tariffs won't work, that supported not just by economic experts - but by analysis of relatively recent history.
Typical Trump supporter - blind, irrational, reactionary.
Its not an exception that was taken from NBR all they where saying was job growth has not really changed under Trump.
Who is a Trump supporter? I don't really care all that much about politics that I can have 0 impact on, its sometimes fun to jump in here post some positive trump news to break up the echo chamber.
