CNN - The 43 most staggering lines from Donald Trump's Indiana speech
As officials in Washington prepared to honor the late Sen. John McCain, President Donald Trump headed to Evansville, Indiana, to headline a campaign rally for GOP Senate nominee Mike Braun.
I went through the transcript of Trump's speech and pulled out the most, um, memorable lines.
[EDIT a random selection follows ...]
9. "That just shows when you get good ratings, you can say anything."
12. "Today's Democrat Party is held hostage by left-wing haters, angry mobs, 'deep state' radicals, establishment cronies, and their fake news allies."
17. "Republicans stand for stopping illegal immigration, fixing bad, horrible, obsolete trade deals, unleashing American energy, cutting taxes, supporting our militaries and our great vets, our great, great vets."
21. "We're doing a great job. And we have really no laws to work with. We have really no laws to work with. The laws are horrible. Laws are the worst and dumbest in the history of the world."
28. "And we're the talk of the world. I'll tell you, every foreign leader who comes to see me, almost, they walk in and they start off, Mr. President, congratulations on the incredible success you're having with your economy. Congratulations. Everything. Almost everyone."
29. "See, you have to understand, I have a better education than they do from a much better school, but - the elite. They're the elite. They're the elite. I went to better schools, I went to better everything. And by the way, by the way, are you ready for this? And I'm President, and they're not."

Im on an iPad forum. Mainly Americans. Someone accidentally sent a link to that forum, about Russia will arrange to have Guiliani fired. A couple responded, I responded. Not harsh, along the lines of its probably true. One of them emailed me to tell me to stop spreading left wing propaganda. I replied and told him its not left wing propaganda, its a view shared by billions of liberal and conservatives globally. I guess he's one of the declining older white males.
Ages ago, I asked what people think of Trump, this was when he got voted in, or soon after. I was TOLD we do not discuss political stuff here. Fair enough, but my take is that while everyone there gets along well, if politics were raised, all hell would break loose. The divisiveness thats often talked about would take over. Its a festering sore in American society.

Calm down. If anyone of us here were made POTUS and obviously not experienced, we would all do a soundish job if aided by government experts in each ministry. Trump has the same ability and the same skillsets around him to advise him and steer the policies along. An ability to talk common sense with other leaders, but boy, he threw all that into the trashcan and here we are.

Why Google Is the Perfect Target for Trump
A full hour before the sun rose in Washington, DC, Tuesday, President Donald Trump fired off a pair of tweets claiming that Google had “rigged” search results against conservatives.
Like so many Trump grievances, the argument seems steeped less in fact than in a roiling stew of personal animus.
But in Google News, the latest subject of his ire, Trump may have found the perfect target.
In Trump’s tweets ... you can see the outlines of an attack that can’t be easily fact-checked or dismissed.
And while Trump’s logic is specious, effectively countering it would require acceptance among his base that mainstream news sources like The New York Times are not, actually, the enemy of the people.

ABC News (US) : Trouble for Trump: Disapproval at a high, 63% back Mueller, half favor impeachment
Disapproval of Donald Trump is at a new high, support for the Mueller investigation is broad and half of Americans in a new ABC News/Washington Post poll favor Congress initiating impeachment proceedings against the president.
Sixty percent in the national survey disapprove of Trump’s performance in office, numerically the highest of his presidency, albeit by a single point; that includes 53 percent who disapprove strongly, more than half for the first time.
Thirty-six percent approve, matching his low.
