kingdragonfly: NBC News: A US state Republican Party official voted illegally nine times, judge rules

A judge ruled this week that a top Georgia Republican Party official, who has promoted former President Donald Trump's claims of widespread voter fraud affecting the outcome of the 2020 presidential election, has repeatedly voted illegally.

Brian Pritchard, first vice chairman of the Georgia Republican Party and a conservative talk show host, was fined $5,000 for voting illegally and registering to vote while serving a sentence for a felony conviction.
...

Funny how all the "election fraud" the Republican party jumps up and down about is usually on...the Republican side 🙄

Textbook case of DARVO - Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim Offender. Found in hyper-narcissists from domestic abusers to the Man in the Kremlin and the Former Guy in the White House.

kingdragonfly: Looks like "sovereign citizen" and "libertarian" are old-school, and these are the new "what the hell are you talking about?"

  • "accelerationist"
  • "e/acc", Effective Accelerationism,
  • cath/acc Catholic accelerationist
  • L/Acc Left-wing accelerationist
  • R/Acc Right-wing accelerationist

Note that Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, Trump’s strategist Steve Bannon, and the perpetrator of the Christchurch mosque shootings are accelerationists.

Wikipedia: Accelerationism

Mother Jones: Meet the Silicon Valley CEOs Who Insist That Greed Is Good

The accelerationist hall of shame also includes the shooters in Norway, Isla Vista, Charleston, Pittsburgh, El Paso, Hanau, & Buffalo etc; the Charlottesville torch rally; and the Jan 6 Capitol storming. Alex Jones, Stephen Miller, Martin Sellner & Richard Spencer are just a few of the "brains" behind it. Trump & Putin are its spearheads, with fanboys like Netanyahu, Orban, Milei, Bolsonaro & Bukele following close behind. As far as Gaza is concerned, 30,000 "isn't enough".

Thomas Hegghammer refers to the dogma behind the new accelerationism as "macro-nationalism" (my emphasis):

On closer inspection, however, Mr. Breivik’s worldview does not fit squarely into any of the established categories of right-wing ideology, like white supremacism, ultranationalism or Christian fundamentalism. Rather, it reveals a new doctrine of civilizational war that represents the closest thing yet to a Christian version of Al Qaeda.

For example, although Mr. Breivik says he fears “the extinction of the Nordic genotypes,” racial hygiene is not high on his agenda. He wants to expel, not kill, Muslims in Europe, and he does not mind Jews and non-Muslim Asians. Similarly, while Mr. Breivik says he is “extremely proud” of his “Odinistic/Norse heritage,” he is not a Norwegian nationalist — his “declaration of independence” applies to all of Europe. And while he is Christian, he admits that “I’m not going to pretend I’m a very religious person.”

Instead, Mr. Breivik’s goal is to reverse what he views as the Islamization of Western Europe; indeed, he sees himself as a soldier in a defensive war against “Islamic imperialism.” In his view, Muslims are colonizing Europe, helped by high birth rates and a doctrine of multiculturalism advocated by the European elite. Islam, for him, represents an existential threat to European civilization, a threat that must be countered at all costs. The best way to do so, he argues, is to wage war against “cultural Marxists” — his label for the European political and intellectual elite — because they are the traitors who allow the colonization to take place.

The new accelerationism is heavily underpinned by evangelical Dominionism and known to have made common cause with Hindutva & others against the so-called "Great Replacement" - a conspiracy by "Jewish globalists" (read: Jewish Bolsheviks) to flood the West with the Global South, particularly Africans and Arabs; and in the case of the USA, also Mexicans. The most obvious "Jewish globalist" is George Soros, a real life Emmanuel Goldstein as far as the accelerationists are concerned.

While visibly much nastier than the rules-based conservatism of Merkel, Rutte, Eisenhower and Ted Heath - who accelerationists regard as globalists - it's not nasty enough (yet) to be an action replay of the 1930s and 1940s.

It's begging for a simpler term than "macro-nationalism", though no one yet agrees on what, so suggestions are welcome. WW2 had the Axis, the Cold War had the Warsaw Pact, and the War on Terror had al-Qaeda & ISIL.

Why give these creatures oxygen by intellectualising their depravity? They are wannabe terrorists and fancy labels about their motives just obscure that.

For clarification on the previous deepred post, George Soros is hated by right-wingers. He is compared to the fictional character Emmanuel Goldstein from George Orwell's book "1984", the principal enemy of the state of Oceania.

Unless I misunderstand, it's the "enemy of my enemy is my friend"

Always good to know your enemies, and their dog whistles. In particular it pays to know billionaires who own media sites.

Sun Tzu, The Art of War

"If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles.

If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat.

If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle."

The new accelerationists' war machine isn't made up of 3rd-generation standing armies, but rather 4th & 5th generation firehoses of falsehood, dark money, systemic discrimination & self-radicalised lone wolves. What the world needs now is an Arsenal of Democracy v2.0 for the 4th & 5th generations of warfare, as fighter jets, drones & HIMARS missiles can only go so far (with the exception of the 3rd-generation leaning war in Ukraine).

Note the misinformation has been mostly haphazardly edited out of the original Fox news / New York post article, but the original title and opening paragraph remains

New York Post : Religious-themed designs banned from White House Easter egg art contest

Children of the National Guard are prohibited from submitting religious Easter egg designs for the 2024 “Celebrating National Guard Families” art event at the White House.
...

The Independent : American Egg Board forced to respond to Republican conspiracy theory about White House Easter event

On Monday, thousands of children and their families will gather on the White House South Lawn for the annual Egg Roll, an Easter tradition that dates back to the nineteenth century.

But this year’s celebrations have been marred as Republican politicians and commentators falsely accused President Joe Biden’s administration of banning religious themes and symbols from the celebration’s art contest — failing to note that the policy has been in place during every administration for almost 50 years.

They also complained about the Transgender Day of Visibility, saying Biden proclaimed it to be on Easter - ignoring it's been on the same 31 March since 2010 - Easter changes every year, so it just happened to fall on the same day this year.

But can't have gay on my Jesus Day (TM)!

Or how about this clown? https://edition.cnn.com/2024/04/03/politics/trump-criticism-judge-royce-lamberth-january-6/index.html

Good to see that at least (most of) the judges in the US have a sense of decency and common sense.

For people like Michael Macartney, sickness is filthy lucre. And a way of providing delusions of dominance if humans aren't as kowtowing.

I have a feeling this court case of his is going to go just as smoothly as the "I expect to get 20% of the vote this election" line from last year.
