“In Springfield, they're eating the dogs,” Trump said. “The people that came in. They’re eating the cats. They’re eating—they’re eating the pets of the people that live there. And this is what’s happening in our country. And it’s a shame.”

The entire episode ended up being less rope-a-dope and more a dope who had hanged himself with some rope. And Trump’s team knew it. Privately, Trump confidants sensed that the ex-president had missed a real opportunity.

“The [former] president was supposed to pivot but Trump blew it,” sighed one campaign insider who had been told of the never-executed debate tactic. “He was supposed to make her own the Biden record. That didn’t really happen.”

MAGA pastor and evangelical leader Lance Wallnau has accused Kamala Harris of using "witchcraft" during Tuesday's presidential debate.

In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), Wallnau claimed that the vice president used supernatural manipulation to gain the upper hand in her combative showdown with the former president.

"When I say 'witchcraft,' I am talking about what happened tonight. Occult-empowered deception, manipulation, and domination," Wallnau wrote early Wednesday morning, following the debate.

Wallnau, a prominent figure in the pro-Trump evangelical movement, has long portrayed the former president as a divinely chosen leader tasked with saving America from what he describes as a spiritual and political decline.

Harris' debate strategy and the behavior of the debate's two ABC News moderators, who fact-checked Trump five times, were not merely political tactics, Wallnau said, but part of a deeper, more sinister effort to deceive the public and control the debate's outcome.

Kamala Harris debates Donald Trump on Tuesday night in Philadelphia. Lance Wallnau, a prominent figure in the pro-Trump evangelical movement, has accused the vice president of using "witchcraft" during the event.

He also accused the debate moderators of colluding with Harris' campaign, writing, "That's what ABC pulled off as moderators, and Kamala's script handlers set up the kill box. One-sided questions and fact-checking sealed the box. Witchcraft."

With maga loyalty, I still think its largely, they have taken on Trump's grievance mindset ie cannot let go of wanting to prove they are right and did not lose. It seems to almost be ego driven. But I think this is a situation people will only wake up once it starts impacting their daily lives, by which stage its way too late.

Harris needs to Debunk this "things were better under Trump". Instead of hiding it in her messaging on separate topics, she needs to link Covid and its associated Recession along with Trump's handling of Covid to the period when things got really bad. The statement "things were better when" is just illogical.

Not saying thats the right wording too use, but this is always the top item under why to vote Trump.

A local factory says they have 30 Haitians and they are the best employees. Police say there is no increase in crime.

Haiti people are there legally under US Visa Temporary Protected Status as a refuge from severe instability in Haiti.

There is some increased pressure on health services as you might expect. Imo the federal government should find a way to fund some of those costs recognizing the immense benefit to the local economy.

NBCNews: Before Trump, neo-Nazis pushed false claims about Haitians as part of hate campaign. An extremist group that marched in Springfield, Ohio, and demonized Haitian immigrants saw Trump's mention of baseless rumors at the debate as a victory: “This is what real power looks like.”

No surprises there. Vance and Trump continue to get all their information from all the usual places.

Come to think of it, why hasn't Trump yet sold a line of Chinese made gold painted talismans? :)
