Sir John Key's mask finally off.
The nice persona was just for the electorate.
His success in financial world as a good salesman (Sales people like Chameleons) to get investors in.

Planet Key is actually just part of Planet Trump.

I could see him going for a Bushalike, or a Reganalike, but Trump, and Vance, really?
Elder Bush and Regan would be turning in their grave about what Trump has done and proposes to do.

Trump, Vance, Elon, Mr Thiel, the world needs more Testosterone Dictators.
However if you are spelunking for venture capital or helping your children raise such then I guess you pander with the best of em.

Someone did interview Trump supporters leaving a venue buoyed by their USA for Christians Trump ethos.
Ask them if exception should be made for Trumps non Christian Grandchildren, answers were a bit vague and awkward.

You really can't forgive Key based on doltage and age catching up with him, its literally 'realme'.

John Key is now echoing Trump.

"Trump has his faults"

"Kamala is a radical left"

tl;dr, I would rather support a rapist than a socialist. Cos I love money and principles are awkward things.

I vote for this. Trump is a certifiable narcissistic megalomaniac surrounded by anti-democratic enablers. He cannot be viewed separate from his 'policies', even those that might make sense to some. If Trump gets elected, the whole world loses. How anyone with a brain can still not see that mystifies me.

Blinded by dollar signs.

Not a word about democracy or Jan 6th in the article or the video. Looks like the video is a small part of a longer audio clip below it.

"Stolen" election and Jan 6 are covered in passing near the end of the audio at around 18m:00. Key absolutely believes Trump lost the election in 2020.

Agreed, this is definitely a case where you can't (and shouldn't!) "separate the artist from the art".

Laughed out loud when I saw that one!! 😀 (although there doesn't seem to be any Jack Kimble in Congress? - might be this guy? Obvious satire ahead: https://www.jackkimble.com/home )

Must admit it reminded me of the National Party trying on their line of "an emotional junior staffer" being to blame for deleting a petition.

What a surprise! A MAGA election denier who was involved in spreading the orange buffoon's lies heads off to jail - and yet he's nowhere to be found.

^ bet she's not laughing now 😀

Karma is indeed a wonderful thing! Also Ms Peters - Trump couldn't care less about you.

(BTW hopefully she's not related to Winston?)

It's not "karma". It's justice.

That works too! Karma and justice.

Wonder when it's the Pillow Guy's turn? He can't be far away now.

Speaking of which, I wonder how Rudy's coffee line is going? Is he getting anywhere near being able to pay off his debts yet?

Regarding "[Trump] isn't going to lift a finger to help you"

It's not entirely true. He's about reciprocity.

For example your politics don't matter as long you've licked his boots previously. Then he'll help you, perhaps even pardon you, absolve you of any crimes.

Trump is not as clever as Machiavelli, he doesn't possess Machiavellianism, but he shares many of his beliefs. Machiavelli famously argues that the ends justify the means; maintain power by any means necessary.

But Trumps fails any Machiavellian advice that requires strength of character:

"For there is no other way to guard oneself from flattery unless men understand that they do not offend you in telling you the truth"
