Really appreciate the feedback @naggyman, @lloydw and @Fuzzi9986.
Yesterday saw a massive and very targeted attack on our DNS servers, which we worked as fast as possible to resolve.
Really pleased that our shiny new status page is being noticed as a significant improvement, and we'll constantly work to improve everywhere we can.
An incident report is available for customers. If you'd like to have a read, please message me here. :-)

Incident report is in the insiders forum - you'll need to be an "insider" which basically involves adhering to whatever rules Quic states where it be customers only, or interested trusted people on here (we don't make the rules!). Message @quic if you'd like access to it.
Direct link is here: https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=193&topicid=304379 (you'll need to be an insider for access).
If you're an insider and missed this then use the buttons at the top of the forum to enable Auto Watch and that way you don't miss out:

Hey Hayden,
Just a heads up, this is now resolved. :-)

Apologies for the inconvenience - this required a lot of work from various parties within other organisations.

Sorry to add to the end of an already long thread with a new topic, but it seems Quic doesn't get it's own forum here yet.
I'm having quite a few problems with my provider which I have been with for many years. They seem to be unable to complete a move of address and a need a plan 'B' and Quic by all accounts looks like a good option. I have some requirements that I am clear about, but do limit my options. I'm needing:
I am on a Chorus ONT 400 (with service) in the Christchurch area. For diversity of platforms I run a pfSense router, which means I prefer not to use PPPoE.
Which of the needs above can Quic meet? How long would it take to provision the service? (it probably comes down to whether their are any manual processes in there). Reading the setup instructions it is unclear if a link address is provided by SLAAC or DHCP6 (if at all). Thanks for any info.

- static ipv4, with a user defined PTR record
- static IPv6 prefix, with DNS delegation to my dual stack DNS servers
- prefer IPoE (but understand this may not be available yet, and can do PPPoE for now)
- 1500 MTU
- a static IPv6 address on the outside interface, with a PTR record or delegation (just to make the traceroutes look complete)

Hey @gregb! We'd love to have you on board!
Hope this helps you make an informed decision! Sing out if you have any other questions and either myself or the fellow brainboxes in this post can answer! π

If I wanted to move to Quic from 2degrees, is this automated or do I need to cancel my 2degrees account first and then sign up with Quic? I've established that I would be $5 better off with Quic even with the loss of the discount for a 2degrees mobile phone... and I do like the more advanced access given I've moved well away from a standard consumer setup (UDM Pro, switches, seperate access points, homelabs etc.).

We'll notify your previous provider of your move to us, and they should then cease your billing etc, and ensures you're not without a connection. π
That being said, always a good idea to check with your previous provider a couple days after coming across just to make sure π
