reven: what software are you going to be using?Thank you. That would be ideal. I will go that way instead.
for remote you could always get a Motorola NYXboard Hybrid which is RF so can be plugged into a usb port hidden away and is a far better remote than any imon remotes (used them in the past, never could get them to work well, that was a few years ago though)

Nety: OK never had a problem with the drive door at all. Surely it is just a matter of putting the pin back in? Maybe was not seated correctly in the factory. Sorry not trying to be rude here but you did remove the panel of the optical drive tray right? It is just a part that has always struck me as being solid, certainly has never given me any trouble and is used all the time as we watch both blurays and DVD's on it.no I never removed the front panel of the drive as nothing said in manual. Just that it had to be narrower than width of the drive. But this door is flimsy mounting. To get door back on I would have to take front panel off in order to be able to tension it so it springs closed again by the looks of it.
I do have to agree that it is a cramped case but from my experience media centre cases always are and once you have it setup up you generally do not touching for a long time so I can live with it.
