lchiu7: Alternatively what you could do is program a macro that did the following.

Bring up input select. That would bring up a list of inputs

Programme the macro to go up a number of times till it hit the top.  Then program the macro to go down as many as it takes to reach the right input.  Then Enter.

I used to have to do that with a JVC TV.

It would not take much experimentation to get it right. Go up as many times as it takes to hit the top from the bottom input in the list and hope that if you're 3 from the top and you go up, it just does nothing after the 4th up.

Tried this, but unfortunately it didn't stop when it hit the top of the input list, it continued in back to the bottom input. So then when it went forward it ended up on the wrong input. I think I might just have to accept that this particular system is never going to work 100% correctly with activities. Thanks for the suggestion though!

I hope I don't jinx it by saying this, but after a few days of using the help key to correct it when it landed on the wrong input, the Home Theatre System has been switching to the right input pretty much all the time. I guess it has learned the number of steps forward in NextInput to get from one activity to the other. I think as long as it knows which activity it was on last, it seems to know where to end up. It appears to have learned this through repeated correction, which is pretty cool. Anyway, much better now. Love the remote. All the rest are in the drawer!
