Oh to add there is now the following in the OLED range
Z1 8K OLED
G1
C1
B1
A1
Panasonic 65GZ1000, Onkyo RZ730, Atmos 5.1.2, AppleTV 4K, Nest Mini's, PS5, PS3, MacbookPro, iPad Pro, Apple watch SE2, iPhone 15+
Going by previous launch RRP's, I notice pricing usually starts off at least twice the US RRP.
I see one NZ site is advertising RRP for the C1 OLED range as:
48” - $3,599
55” - $4,499
65” - $4,999
77” - $8,888
Hopefully there will be some initial specials on the Queens birthday weekend?
Otherwise, how have people found bartering for good TV deals on normal days, I suppose in these times there is already not enough supply for existing demand so they don't do much?
Thanks
Already seen the 65" C1 listed for $5,999.00.
At this point I can't even tell if it's just me being cynical about high prices or whether prices are just still getting higher.

Nope, they always launch sky high in May/June, then start bumping down the price with each "holiday" sale, dropping to their best pricing around Black Friday/Christmas/Boxing Day.

The knowledge alone that there is massive mark up within electronics should see you able to barter especially between stockists. LG for instance HN, NL and JB will all be worthy comparison sites. I would pay a MAX of $4499 for the 65" C1 even though NL have it listed at $5999. Getting stock maybe the hard part

That's actually reduced in RRP, I recall the C9 being listed around the $7xxx mark on release?
Well after me telling a friend about the 65" C1 pricing, talked to another retailer and got a quote substantially lower than the commercial price I posted previous page.
Ordered and should be delivered next week

Substantially lower than those prices? Daaaammmmmnnnn... was that a consumer level retailer or an industry hook-up?

So tempted to buy one myself. Was 2nd to last left in Christchurch. That was commercial pricing again, the pricing is definitely lower than the CX and C9

Interesting RRP in Aus is $4495 ($4835 NZD) and people have haggled 65" C1's for $3900 aud ($4195 NZD) there is massive haggle room for NZ Consumers

I can only see the LG 65 C1 advertised on JBHifi and Noel Leemings, at a special price of $5399 (usually $5999), I doubt we can haggle any of the shops to get down anywhere near to $4195 so soon. Well I know from my own past experiences whenever I try to haggle for something I get some excuse and basically told to take it or leave it. Are there some special tricks other people are doing to get substantial discounts?
I wonder when and how much the upcoming Panasonic OLED's will be?
I've never had much luck with haggling on appliances and it gives me the squirts that the Australian RRPs are so much lower, even within the same business groups (not looking at any particular yellow box retailer in particular).
