I have the following installation; one satellite 90 cm dish with 3 LNB, D1, D2 and INT 5 (IS19), the 3 LNB cables go to a switch

and from there to a splitter to two cables, one for upstairs TV Samsung smart and dish TV S7070r and one downstairs to

Samsung smart and dish TV S8200.

This installation works with no problems switching between satellites on both dish TV boxes, however when I watch BVN on the

D2 satellite a signal coming through interrupts viewing for a short time, 30 sec to 2 min approx.

There is no interruption when I watch anything on the D1 satellite.

This happens at 10 every night, I have contacted dish TV but they say that they can not replicate this problem.

Anyone knows who sends the signal and how to fix this problem?

Like I have mentioned before I can watch any satellite and switch between satellites on both TV's anytime without problems.

With the setup as you have described, this is not possible. You should not be able to watch D1 on one TV and D2 on another at the same time with your current setup. If you can, then your setup is not as described.

The most probable cause is that at 10pm one (or both) of your boxes is checking for an OTA firmware update or something similar, and specifically looking for this on Optus D1. With a splitter, you simply cannot receive more than one orbital position / polarity at a time down that single cable, so the receiver connected to Optus D2 loses signal when the other one connects to D1.

If a sat switch followed by a splitter was recommended by a retailer, send it back, it will never work fully - the only solution for multiple satellites and multiple receivers is a multiswitch.

A DiSEqC or 22kHz switch can be used for single receiver, multiple satellites.

A splitter can be used for single satellite/polarity and multiple receivers.

Combining the two will give you an incredibly limited subset of what can be received simultaneously.
