Well, not new by any means of the imagination, but changed companies, and hadn't really used my Geekzone account at all for the past couple of years.  Plus i want to get the badge for posting in the intro thread.

Been around for a while, general geek, worked for Advanced Portable Technologies (www.pccard.co.nz) for some time doing data over cellular (3g datacards, cables, etc), before switching over to Service Plus (www.serviceplus.co.nz).  Now repairing Apple iPods, iPads, MacBooks, iMacs, etc. Toshiba Notebooks, Sony Vaio Notebooks, BenQ projectors, and a handful of other things.

More recently building myself an HTPC which only took about 8 years for me to get round to biting the bullet and actually building, limited only by a 330mm cabinet depth next to the amp, and some potential issues getting an HD signal into a ?8? year old Acer 37" TV.

I expect i'll mostly be lurking around the laptop related forums for my stay since thats where my work tends to take me.
