Hi,

I have been having a problem since buying my laptop that whenever i try watch a tv series or movie which is on my HDD hard drive it lags ever 3-5min for a second or two.  I've tried many file formats and video player they all do the same.

If i copy the file to the SSD hard drive it works perfectly.  i've never had this problem with any of my other laptop with HDD

Please help

Cheers

Most likely another software process accessing the drive or interrupting processing in that time period.

Run task manager, sort process page by CPU utilisaton, and see what is at the top when the issue occurs.

Maybe increase the update frequency and also try a watch on the CPU graph instead.

Separately perhaps it is some kind of weird caching problem related to that drive.
