Hi, my Auntie just odered an Avermedia Hybrid Tv card for my laptop. I was wondering if theres any software that lets me emulate media center edition with tv support?

There free "MCE" sort of programs out there... Last I remember/check Nero 7 Premium does that too.. and most TV-tuner package comes with a "MCE" of its own.


And if you keen, check whether the card is compatible with Windows MCE or not, if so you can try order an OEM with MCE module + MCE remote (this is very hard to find but is possible)


Windows MCE is just a Media Center layer/interface that can operate on Home XP or Pro XP. The OEM usually comes on Pro XP.
