Nope! It is the best device I have ever owned. It is clear that the SP4 is better!

:) If you manage to get your good lady wife to approve an SP4 I'd appreciate first dibs on your SP3 if you're not handing it down to the nippers.

No.. Just no.. I'm not paying extortionate Apple like prices, no matter HOW nice they are.

I mean for gods sake you can get a top end Sager gaming notebook with vastly superior specs for less than that top i7.

What is surprising is that the Microsoft store prices are significantly cheaper than PBTech's. PB's monopoly will soon end with the Surface Book!

I bought the SP4 i7 16GB 256GB last week from Harvey Norman and so far have been really impressed with it, after all the windows updates I get 5-6 hours battery life with general use(Web browsing and a couple of games). Before the updates it was only a couple of hours. One bug I have found is Windows Hello doesn't let the device sleep so it gets hot very quickly and ruins the battery life, the only way to fix this is to disable Hello which is a shame because I found it rather useful.

Gaming wise it happily plays Rocket League on Medium settings, i haven't had time to test any other games yet.

Need to find a nice case or sleeve for it now.

Edit: Microsoft's online store said 28th too??

Krishant007: i had a good play with the SP4 when I was in one of the shops. It seems like a very nice device indeed. Something I would definitely consider as a replacement for my macbook air for travels and portability. What is the best deal people have seen on the SP4 with keyboard (in my opinion, the keyboard should be included with the Surface)

I sold a Macbook Pro to get one and I like it a lot.

It has a few things I would prefer to change - such as adding at least one more USB 3 (or preferably Thunderbolt). Battery life is adequate but not awesome - although IIRC Nathan said that there was a firmware update due in the New Year that would improve that. Fan can be a bit noisy if you're running graphics intensive things like games. Not for normal computing use though. The apps can be a bit hit an miss and telling which ones are good and which dross within the same type can be tricky. Some kind of lock on the power button would be useful - sometimes I hold it in tablet mode in my left hand, with the base in the crook of my elbow and my fingers often accidentally press the power button, which sleeps it rather annoyingly at inconvenient moments!

Overall it's very good, and faster in use than my 16gb i7 MBP was with Lightroom and Photoshop.

I like being able to write on it - although I can see the glass bend under the pen as I do and that is very disconcerting...!

There has been reports of backlight bleed on many SP4s. Can anyone with a SP4 comment on this?

Apparently Microsoft are aware of this issue and has rectified it in their newer stocks.
