Hey all,

 

 

 

I have a 1.5~2yr old Toshiba L850 Laptop with a dead HDD.

 

Purchased a new SSD and installed but need to reinstall Windows - Laptop came with Windows 8 pre installed but Win8 doesnt have product keys on the sticker....

 

 

 

Toshiba want $100 for a recovery disk!

 

Already paid over $1200 for it....

 

 

 

Anyone know where I can download a recovery disk .iso or similar?

How would you feel about Windows 10?  SOmeone could arrange to get you an ISO image of a Windows 10 DVD.  The latest edition of the DVD (produced in Feb if I remember correctly) will pick up the Windows Product Key from the BIOS and automatically activate itself.

 

Home or Pro edition?  It's a different ISO and of course if you got a Pro ISO it would not activate using a Home key in the BIOS.
