I work with library software that sends SMS messages to people who have holds waiting to be collected or books that will be due in a few days. The messages are generated locally and then transferred to a server in the US, and a company called Tropo then sends out the messages. A while ago we had reports of the txts not being received and Tropo made some routing changes which seems to have fixed everything for Vodafone and 2 Degrees customers, but Spark texts are still not being received. Does anyone know of anyone at Spark that I could talk to about this, and find out whether these SMS messages are being blocked, and if so, how to get them unblocked? The system is sending around 6000 messages per month.

Thanks for any help you can give!

Susanna

Almost certainly something Tropo needs to fix I would have thought. Unlikely to be a problem if they are using kosher channels...

There's cheap and there's good. An offshore provider is generally going to have problems delivering into NZ which (let's be honest) is as important to them as delivery into Uzbekistan.

Pick a NZ SMS company. There's a number to choose from and they all have an API of some kind.
