It seams that a large Australian ISP www.Exetel.com.au has had some great success with P2P and streaming caches
Here is the link http://steve.blogs.exetel.com.au/
Love to see this performance delivered by Telecom
Great for mega downloaders, and then free up the international so gamers can get some good action.

is there anything that I should be doing to help the change?

Plans change in the wee hours around 1am. You needed to have requested it late afternoom or early evening. Then, the automated order will run, probaby in minutes, leaving the next 1am for the plan to update.

Ventrilo is usable today right up until 3PM. Ping is good on international servers too.

I get a little lag here and there, but it is to be expected.

Precisely why I ordered the change at 2am on the 19th, so the change would happen 1am on the 20th, yet nothing has changed yet.

Just change plan. Wish I never heard about big time, if they could just get the gaming working it would be a great plan.

Gaming cant use that much bandwidth, wouldnt they prefer people to game than to leech P2P?

Anyway changing plan has fixed my problems.

I have it alot worse though. I still get good results on speed/pingtest.net but gaming is hopeless and trying to use any VoIP to any server (national or international) is hopeless today. I don't know what is goin' on. :(

Everything international is going amasingly slow for me at the moment.

Just loading simple webpages is painful now. It's literly is dialup speeds.

Hopefully this gets fixed.

Edit: Cant log onto ANZ internet banking at all, just timing out =/

tamulmol: International traffic is big headache for the past week.

To say the least...

It was awesome on Tuesday!  I don't know what happened, but everything seemed to work as it was supposed to.

From then onwards, everthing stoped working again.  Not sure what it is or if Telecom know about it yet.  I think it might be a seperate issue as there have been so many different problems with international traffic.  I thought they were supposed to have been sorted.  Maybe not...

I am having that exact same problem lately. When I try to pay my bills I have to log in multiple times due to constant logouts.

But my neochick likes to hide in boxes.

I am also experiencing very slow speeds on Big time as of 15th March.
Before that everything has been fine, but after that everything would be slow. Sometimes sites wouldn't load and ping to overseas sites will have major packet losses.
Email helpdesk, but all they replied was traffic management blah blah blah...

Hi I did a search and found this thread. Hope I can get some help! The game is simply unplayable since I moved to Telecom Big Time from xnet. I had interleaving turned off which dropped the ping but did not reduce the rubber-banding.

I noticed doozey's post on the first page so here goes:

Game title: Battlefield 1942
TCP: 28900; UDP 14567, 14690, 23000-23009
time you are experiencing the problem: Evenings
time you aren't experiencing the problem: It may be better before 4pm, but I rarely play before then.
