sIcPuPPy:
Not sure if there may be a few too may FEC errors? If anyone could comment?
Chrisclarke: Hi,
My question is: is this likely to improve over the 10 day period, or should I raise a call now? Also given my attenuation numbers were significantly better (15 up and 10 down) before Chorus came to 'fix' the wiring, is it resonable to assume that I may need to request that they come and re-visit the wiring? It's an old house with lots of extensions which I asked him to bypass and just leave me with one working socket connected - he seemed to have trouble locating where the line came in and wondering if he has put the master splitter in the wrong place?

Your attenuation will jump by 2 or 3 times going from ADSL to VDSL since the frequency range is significantly increasing.
Worth having a chat with the Broadband Helpdesk if your upstream is slower than ADSL, as the plan they may have you on may be wrong.
Otherwise I could run a line test if you PM me your phone number.

You are quite outside the Chorus VDSL coverage area, showing up at 1.8km from the exchange :(. Not sure how you managed to get the order to go through.
Pulinski: After 10 days of excellent VDSL performance, today I haven't even got a broadband/DSL light on my Technicolor VDSL modem.
Called faults, have to wait 24 hours for a technician to visit. Frustrated now.
Can't understand what has gone wrong.
