BarTender:Yep... You're a complete Muppet.

Name calling- nice.

BarTender:Nothing about the Nazi's is ever funny and you shouldn't ever joke about it.

Have you never seen Hogan's heroes?

BarTender: Better yet do some research into what really happened during the Holocaust and just realise how un-funny it all is.

While we all could learn something more from history, I am not ignorant of the suffering that occurred in the Nazi run concentration camps.

BarTender:I suggest you pull your head in and realise how stupid you were.

While I actually regret my comments, I still maintain that I've said nothing that is insensitive to those who suffered in the Nazi run concentration camps. To actually to that I would have to either deny or down play their suffering(this would make me a holocaust denier) or to some way imply that they deserved it (that would make me anti semitic). I have done none of these things(it would be hard to be anti semitic with my Jewish blood), so you're whining like a little girl in vain.

PS.
If I have actually offended any Telecom employees by my Nazi comment I openly apologize.

caldazar:
I had successfully flashed my phone, but found it very unstable, and managed to temp brick my phone, when trying to go back, but as long as you have the RUU .exe and you have unlocked via the HTCdev method you should be able to revert back to its original state in case of brickage.

It's weird that you found it unstable, I wonder if you missed something. I have had awesome performance from Android Revolution HD (1.29 base) on my HOX. The Telecom 1.26 that came with the phone was much worse.

I might upgrade my HOX next week to the latest ARHD rom (2.05 base), so if I have time I'll create a detailed howto.

The 2.05 ARHD was the one I tried and found unstable. Im thinking about almost doing the opposite and giving the 1.29 a whirl or maybe waiting for a ARHD JB ROM to appear, would be interested in hearing about your ARHD 2.05 experiences if you go down that route.

I think you have been a tad over sensitive regarding the Nazi comments.  In my experience the term Nazi is usually applied to someone who is uncompromising, zealous, dictatorial about something.  I've never known it to be used to refer to the holocaust in the context it was used in this thread.

The holocaust never entered my mind when I read the nazi comment in reference to Telecom.

By the way I'm not suggesting that calling anyone a Nazi is a nice thing to do.

Ok guys, as interesting a debate as it is, lets drop the discussion about the word Nazi.

Ahh bummer, well I will still give 2.05 go. I had read 2.05 was really good, so hopefully it works as well as my ARHD 1.29 experience. I'll post here or in the HOX thread in the android forum to let you know.

Seriously though... it's absolutely rediculous that Telecom haven't pushed an update yet. They pushed an update for the HTC One V, which is a budget handset when compared with the HTC One X. You'd think they would prioritise updates for the customers who are willing to spend the most $$$.... ie. the ones that signed up for $100 per month contracts for a $900 handset!!!

Not to mention the fact its irritating as hell - Sense keeps crashing/restarting at the moment for some reason that is unclear.

I've tried other launchers and lockscreen apps but they just don't feel right or run like shyte/cause doublelocks.

I felt the same, but have used Apex Launcher for the past couple of weeks and haven't used Sense at all. And now I don't really miss it. I still have the Sense Lockscreen, which I like, but live wallpapers run perfectly in the background, I have infinite scrolling, customised homescreen grids, homescreens in landscape, the list goes on and on. I believe that when I do ditch the Telecom ROM farce I may not even go to a full Sense ROM.

From what I can tell Telecom doesn't do fast latency on XT. Can anyone tell me if most ROMs come with fast latency by default, and maybe the possibility to turn it off? I am unsure if those type of settings are resident in the ROM or the Radio? I was under the impression that the HTCDev unlock still didn't give access to the Radio.

I've tried so many launchers, paid and free - None feel right atm for some reason. I always used Go Launcher EX  on Gingerbread but on ICS/HOX Go Launcher EX has a HORRID 3Dot menu at the bottom of the launcher on desktop - makes me want to put pins in my eyes.

It would be Great if someone from the NZ Community could put up a HOX Romming guide, cos I'd Love to get off the stock Telecom issued 1.26/noupdatesinsight rom.. The lag and crashing is getting real frustrating now.

Ah yes, the cursed 3 dot menu bar! I too want to see it gone. 2.05 held that promise, but I would like an official release rather that a Test ROM.

Check out HD widgets, it's done the trick for me since I left Sense behind

+1 for HD Widgets. Now that version 3 is out of beta and appears to be more stable. To make the most of it you need to be able to specify a homescreen grid size IMO. Not sure how much of a battery hog it is though....

Just got HD Widgets and it really is quite nice :D

I tend to use a 5x5 grid on my HOX.

Wish freakin Telecom would hurry up n push out 1.29 or Something better than 1.26.

From what I can tell, the 3 dots in the other launchers can be removed by by the app developers. I know, a few HOX users have brought up the issue up with the GO crowd, so hopefully they will release an update to fix it.

As far as 'pretty' goes nothing beats the layered look of Sense! But it is so unstable, at least on 1.26. I might give HD a go but its pretty expensive for something I might use.

HD Widget's is great so far, anyway, if you don't like it you can get a refund for like 15min after getting the app or somesuch.

Just had a look its not as pricey as I though, shouldn't really complain about something cheaper than a servo pie.
