System: I don't have the packet loss, just massive ping

Not sure what's changed but I'm also getting very high ping (wasn't like this last night):

Reading thru this thread, reminds me of 'Go Large' round 2.

I stuck with 'Go Large' offered by Telecom, after the users 'who wanted fast speeds all the time' eventually left the plan, I got pretty decent performance.

With comments in this forum of deadlines, and leaving to other providers, this is definitely turning into 'Go Large - Round 2'.

Will be interesting to see as users abandon Big Time, I think we will start to see speeds pickup to 'Go Large' levels.

What I find interesting, in posts on geekzone, and gpforums of users frequently downloading several hundred GB's per month (several comments of +3TB), Linux Distro's etc, no surprise that the speeds are exceptionally slow.

If only Big Time users would download what they need, and want, rather than just downloading for the sake of bragging on how much they have downloaded this month!

I guess its to be expected, and would happen to any provider who released a 'unlimited plan'.

How could it be possible to hit 3000GB on BigTime in one month...On BigTime. The most I have ever downloaded is 190GB. I usually do 50 to 70 every month.

BigTime reminds me of that Vector ad. With the hose connected to the straw, lol. I can't switch plans or providers. I think I will complain in the morning and see where I get...Just to replenish hope and patience.

Maybe we will strike gold and something magical will happen tomorrow.

I've run out of pretty much everything else except for optimisim.  I really hope doozy or Talkiet posts with a miraculous discovery and/or solves all our problems.  Even a time machine would be good.

Set the clock back to three weeks ago.

Here's an interesting one - trying to download a pdf of the manual for my car stereo - around 6mb, it'd download the first part quick as and then the remaining third it repeatedly timed out, it done this around 4-5 times before I could get it downloaded. sucks man! Also can't get into steam. I've used tcpview to find the server it's accessing when it starts up and here's the ping/tracerts if they mean anything to anyone:

Maybe bigtime has unlimited speed/quota providing filesize is < 2MB? I've heard of isp's (comcast in the US) doing similar things so speedtests look amazing but reality is somewhat toned back!
