Hey guys.

I bought a second hand blackberry on Trademe.

I read you need a special plan for it to work with the Telecom's internet service.

I just want to know more.

Would my existing smart 19 plan work, or would I have to upgrade to a totally different plan.

My base account, is a prepay account, and I don't want to switch to an on account plan at all costs.

Thanks

If you are using a BB10 device then you can use your Prepaid plan as it is (or any other current plan)

If you are using a pre BB10 device and want to use all of the features you will need a pay monthly account. Telecom closed down new BIS connections on 19th June 2013. You can only do a new connection onto the more expensive BES plans.

You need a pay monthly plan (Smart One Bill, Biz Industry or Biz Association plans only) then purchase a BES bolt on:

100MB - $30.61
400MB - $35.72
1GB - $71.51

Smart One Bill will be best option as no monthly rental charge for base plan but you will need to have your landline with Telecom to be eligble.
