Hi, out of interest im trying to gather people's international speeds over HTTP (threaded)

for some reason mine seems to be limited to around 1.6-1.7MB/s

so im asking if people could try download from this link and report their speeds (TELECOM VDSL CUSTOMERS ONLY)

http://speedtest.fremont.linode.com/100MB-fremont.bin

Thanks!

I don't think that particular target is a very good speed test, I can only manage ~2MB/sec from it (average of 1.81 in fact), despite getting upwards of 4MB/sec from some other US locations. However, our TCL (I guess now VF) fibre (30Mbps) is averaging a whopping 331KB/sec from it!
