Hi,

So I'm wanting to swap my phone lines from copper to fibre so I don't have to pay an increased bill. Can you please let me know what I need and what I should do to go about it. Also what is the difference between what I'm doing and going on a naked plan?

Thanks!

If you have a walk around phone and don't care about any of the other wiring in your house then you can get a RJ11 (smaller RJ45 plug for phone rather than network) and plug it into the Chorus ONT POTS Port 1.

Have a read here: http://www.spark.co.nz/help/fibre-help/voice-over-fibre-help/

If you're in a Chorus fibre area rather than a UFF/Enable/Northpower one. Then you should be able to plug into the ONT now and get a dial tone, and any number you ring it will play back a message saying "Welcome to Spark, please hang up".

Then just use online chat and they can cut you across straight away.

Otherwise talk via Online chat and they will schedule a tech to come over and cut your external wiring over if you wanted the whole house to be off the ONT.
