Over the last 12 months Skinny coverage at my place has been slowly getting worse. After being great when we moved in it's now at the point where it's almost non-existent in my office in the garden and I regularly have dropped calls.

But I woke up this morning with a smile, its my birthday, turned on my phone and bang - there was the little 4G icon on my N5X. I thought, how did they know ?

Did a couple of quick speed tests, 32Mb/13Mb put my Spark VDSL 19Mb to shame and I immediately thought about buying a 4G modem and whether we could manage our hour or two a night of streaming on a mobile plan.

But half an hour later it was gone and I'm back to virtually no signal in my office again.

2D have been 4G up here for over a year now. It would be nice to have some Skinny 4G love.

Happy to report that Spark are turning on 4G in Otaki over the next couple of days so you should be stable by the weekend.

Maybe time to look at our 4G Wireless Broadband at $52 per month for 100GB :)
