Hey,

I know with Vodafone, on your mobile, you can dial a 4 digit number before the actual number you want to dial and it prevents your caller id being shown to that person.

Just wondering how to do this on a Telecom mobile or landline? Without the need to manually go and disable the service through the mobile or through telecom..hoping there is some sort of a simple prefix??

Thanks.

Try prefixing the dialed number with #31# - this is the GSM standard code for restricting outgoing caller ID.
e.g. to call your mate on 027XXXXXXX dial '#31#027XXXXXXX'
