Just a few comments on the Geekzone survey that popped up this morning.

1) Its polite to tell the user approximately how long the survey would take. Some of them go on and on and on. I would have abandoned the survey if it wasn't Geekzone.
2) Shouldn't NZ be in the list of countries in the pick list at the top? The majority of users who fill it out will have to scroll down to NZ
3) Whats with the US specific voting question?

Just saying!

Thanks for the comments. We CrowdScience for the survey. It's a US company (can't find a New Zealand company for that, sorry). We pass on the suggestion about the time used to fill it in.

Yes, already suggested them that it would be good for us to select which countries go on top.

Yeah. The back to school shopping questions seemed a bit irrelevant along with the "Who are you going to vote for in the upcoming elections". The US elections that is.

I was impressed that they had put an option that I could tick to say I was outside the US for the election question. Some surveys seem to think that no-one exists outside the US!

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

I actually contacted Crowd Science directly to give them from feedback on the survey. They decided I was clearly trying to sign up to use their service and sent me some sales info.

Not convinced they're interested in my feedback, and unfortunately the survey the way it is written now is a pain in the proverbial so I just reject it now.

Sure, I've passed this on as well. But it's supposed to be done once only and takes less than a couple of minutes. Surely something we can do?

I will be removing it soon anyway, because I've reinstated Quantcast tags, which are silent but still provide some demographic information for New Zealand.

Actually, I have done it once. You mean it wasn't supposed to occasionally re-challenge me to do the survey?
