Somehow I keep clicking on vanished pages. I know pages are removed from time to time for undoubtedly good reasons, but hitting a link to something that isn't there naturally arouses curiosity. What happened to it? Why was it banished? What terrible misdeed led to its eradication?

Now I see the DOS thread has joined the ranks of the disappeared. I find that irresistibly intriguing. I can easily imagine that happening to some other overwrought discussions, for example in the politics forum, but MS-DOS seems a pretty innocuous subject. What transgression could possibly have resulted in the entire thread being liquidated?

And then I see that even an apparent greeting from a new member has been unceremoniously binned. More intrigue. The weeds are being whacked left, right and centre. I wonder if this one will survive?

Moved to correct subforum.

Removed posts can often mess up the page count on some threads. The Politics threads are notorious for removed posts. The user who started the MS-DOS thread was banned due to serious breach of FUG on another topic he started so you may have been viewing it before it was removed.
