I don't know what Ghostery is so probably not. I am not using an vpn or ip hider.
The icon next to ABP is mighty text to sync my phone text messages with chrome.
If you press F12 and click the Resources tab, look for the Cookies node and expand t. Select Geekzone and let me know what values you have for setup, ads_bm_last_load_status and bm_load_last_status.
Right-click each of these and delete. Refresh the page a couple of times and see if it appears again.

Thanks. Are you still running FX and whitelisting Geekzone?
Things are being fine tuned so need as much information as possible. Also you shouldn't see this in every page - let me know if this is the case too.

And again - this one occupies the full page
I am running FX 47.01, AdBlock Plus, Geekzone whitelisted (for testing as my main browser is Chrome) and not seeing this now. The code was updated last night - perhaps you could clear the cache (not cookies, etc, only cache) and see if it works after this.

I'm afraid the big problem is I end up with 4-8 tabs of video adverts or animated adverts running.
Static images - kinda ok
text - ok
video or animated JPEG/GIF style ads - NO . Sorry but NO. They kill performance of my browser and annoy.
Right now I have 5 tabs of animated qantas adverts (plus others) and the fan on my laptop is running at 100%.
Firefox on Fedora 23.
Generally known online as OpenMedia, now working for Red Hat APAC as a Technology Evangelist and Portfolio Architect. Still playing with MythTV and digital media on the side.

So even with geekzone whitelisted I can't use quick reply.
also with just two tabs open the animated tabs are killing a Core i7 laptop running Firefox.
