I'm certified by my ENT specialist as profoundly deaf, with about 30% of remaining hearing in my VOIP ear. Is there a way to pump up the receive volume for VOIP?

Fairly sure the WxC helpdesk can create a custom profile with different volume for your SPA112 - give them a call.

A big shout out to Justin of Xnet Support who bumped up my phone receiver volume by a decibel or two. Thanks so much Justin! My sound universe is suddenly a much friendlier place :)

but it means anybody else who uses your phone will have to suffer a loud volume.
Why not just get a telephone designed for the hearing impaired? My mother uses one and just hits a button to increase the volume when she answers.

Not so farcus. With the magic of digital Xnet can adjust the sound level for me but leave it set to 'normal' for the person at the other end. My guess is that you're not deaf and have never run the gamut of 'phones for the deaf' that promise a lot but don't deliver, particularly when you are severely deaf.

I was actually referring to someone else using the telephone at your end - another member of your household, guest etc . . .
