I'm on PDQ. I'm on the turbo plan which is max down / 128 up .
I'm a big online gamer and I find it almost impossible to play online games because my connection random drops then about 30sec-2mins comes back again only to go down again in like 10mins. Im using a dlink 302g. TCL recommend that i get a line splitter put in but they couldn't say fi it would fix my problems.

I'm paying $50 a month and I'm not getting my moneys worth.

Can anyone help me?

I have had friends with the same problem on different isps it's just not happening as often.

I live in dunedin nz.

Is it possible for you to try a different adsl modem? That's a real cheapie you've got there....

all I have is a 502T but I cant get it working. I don't have the set up cd . I tried using the wizard in the 10.1.1.1 page but it didn't work.
What adsl modem would recommend?

Yeah trying a different modem is definitely worth a go but there may be other factors which are impacting the connection.

If you have a monitored alarm or a large number of jack points and other equipment in the line then a splitter and dedicated DSL jack may be the option.

If you don't have the above, monitored alarm or a large number of jack points and other equipment , then it may just be filter, other phone equipment, or the line condition itself which is causing disconnects.

Is there any audible noise on the line?

Is all you other voice equipment filtered from the line?

try taking everything out of the line and just running the DSL, is there any difference?

Have TCL run a line test, see if you get them to tell you the A & B Leg RES readings, although they probably fell threatened that your asking ( because they probably can't interpret them) and only advise whether it looks good or faulty. Nut you never know your luck. If you get em, post them and I'll have a look as it may highlight a problem.
