I have an iPhone on an iPhone plan. I don't like the iPhone, but I like the plan.
If I sell the iPhone, can I use my iPhone plan with another phone (Nokia N73) including the data?

JoeBloggs: however we strongly disallow Joe Bloggs from signing onto an iPhone plan without purchasing an iPhone.

JoeBloggs: No, you can't. We're running regular reports to make sure iPhone plans are strictly used by iPhone users. I'm not clear on the details of 'losing' your handset and then requesting to fulfil your contract with another handset but the terms are clear: iPhone plan, iPhone handset. This isn't to say that with some negotiation a manager may request an exception; however we strongly disallow Joe Bloggs from signing onto an iPhone plan without purchasing an iPhone.
JoeBloggs: Haha, I just found the memo. It appears they penalise the sales channel instead - heavily. Changing sims for you guys should be transparent but the dealer may have a fight on their hands.
Clause 7. a) of the terms and conditions you signed states that it is up to you to determine any special terms pertaining to a new plan you may wish to change to. You may call customer service or view the relevant section of our website and both will either tell you or show you that the iPhone plan may only be used in conjunction with an iPhone.
Be warned, they can cut you off but it doesn't look like they will. Instead the dealer seems to take the heat
Cheers Paul
