If of all look on the MSN website and see about turning on pop access this may cost some $$ per year. Now the service provider will charged for data moved up and down don't forget about that as well

The best solution would be to find an email provider that will provide IMAPv4 and POP3 access, both of which the N6680 do rather well. Your ISP would be a good place to start.
Otherwise, if you're wedded to your Hotmail account, and don't want to forward mail from it to your ISP's email service, you could try using the WAP/Web browser and go to http://mobile.msn.com to check your email.
First time around, you will be asked to set up the service - I tried, and noticed that NZ didn't work (how typical). So, I used Australia instead, and Telstra as the provider. After that, I got my Hotmail (or Live Mail as it is now) inbox, and was able to send and receive messages without trouble.
Note that this method chews up a lot more data than plain IMAPv4/POP3 access, and it is naturally enough slower.
