leo0787sx: When I called up to cancel my T-box upgrade they asked for a reason, I said "The t-box has issues and the Sky box is really stable" they then said "The latest update fixes most of the issues but we understand" lol!

That's brilliant.

By the way, has anyone noticed that the 32x fast forward speed has changed (again).

So to add to the updates list:
"we've fixed some bugs,
We've changed the 32x fast forward speed so that it's now slower, but it still says it's 32x"

Came home to find my T-box frozen... It hasn't done that in ages but after the update it has... TCL your developers are crap and you QA staff deserve to be fired! ridiculous. How many months of waiting for substandard updates and mediocre testing do we have to go through. Based on the history it will be at least four months before we get another one!

I develop software for a living and if I was this bad I would quit and find a new career!

All recordings failed due to box being powered off. Hahaha! Yeah I wonder why!!! I would laugh if I wasn't crying!

The 32x has reverted to normal. With the last software it worked at 64x. So it still says 32x, cos it IS 32x (again) now.

Honestly - I preferred it at 64x, and I would have preferred them to have re-labelled the speeds as 8x, 20x and 64x - cos that was nicer to use.

No wonder things aren't working properly - telstraClear (or rather, the developer, Digisoft) aren't familiar with teir times-tables. When is 32x actually 64x, but really 32x... I'm still getting the hang of counting to 10 rather than 4 when fast forwarding the adds.

T-box froze again! That's the second time in a week. I used to last at least a month before the update... very grumpy now! It froze trying to record the all black test! I guess I will have to hope that sky replay it when I want to see it. I wish I could just rely on the T-box to do the job I play lots of money for it to do in the first place. Yes! Me and family are annoyed.

Hmm.. mine hasn't frozen yet (touch wood) which is incredibly unusual. Previously it was 1-2 times per week. So 10 days or so without a crash is almost unprecedented.

However I did have to reboot mine today. It hadn't crashed, but it had lost video. I could control it and see the on-screen graphics, but the actual TV signal was black. If I changed channel, I would get sound for a few seconds and then that would cut out as well. Nothing I did fixed it, so I had to reboot.

The service I was getting was so much more reliable before the update. They only thing I was getting was the stuttering programs and I have even noticed them coming back in the last couple of days... although not as bad as before.

The other thing that this upgrade has "fixed" for me is the quick turn-on from standby. It used to be so annoying that immediately after pressing the remote button the T-Box would turn on. With the latest update I can now hit the standby button and go boil the jug, by the time I get back it's going.

Of course there is a gotcha with this "upgrade" - if one presses the standby button to turn on the unit and, seeing no response, hits the standby button again they will be treated to a turn-on (in due course) followed by the unit turning off shortly thereafter. Note, this is a feature, not a fault - the unit is responding correctly to two commands: on; then off.

[extract tongue from cheek] Anyone else having this delayed reaction feature?

Just tried it and it takes 7 seconds from standby back to life again. What model of TV do you have? My one is a Samsung LCD.

Mine is an old school Sony - composite connection not HDMI. So the delay is not due to anything other than the tardiness of the T-Box. Perhaps I have now found another meaning for the "T" in T-Box - tardy.

Since the upgrade everytime I turn on the TV/Tbox I have no sound. Tried changing channels and eventually the sound comes back. Tried to turn the Tbox off and then I have the problem that when i turn it back on again it immediately turns itself off. Has anyone else had this problem?

We have had that problem with ours, once when the tech was sorting out the failed update the other week (confused him a bit but it eventualy came right) and again the other night. Last time it did it turning it off and back on sorted it out. Have also had a lock up the other day where I had to pull the power plug to reset it.

Gary, got a request for a new feature/enhancement that I think would appeal to most subscribers.

Is there any chance that multiple recordings of the same show from a Series link could have the option to be placed in a 'folder' in the planner that could be expanded with a key press or function as it is really clunky to navigate through them all?

Did any else suffer bad pixelation on the T-box during Glee tonight?
Am wondering if was transmission issue or T-box as we seem to get occassional pixelation?
