mexako ... so, you are not worried about data usage, just wifi speeds?
Remember that the Ultra Hub is both 2.4GHz and 5GHz, so maybe limit visitors to 2.4 and keep 5 for yourselves?
Also, THIS article may help you understand wifi speeds and how multiple users can affect it.
I signed up to the new Vodafone TV today and as part of the detail I think I'm being sent one of these routers with a couple of wifi extenders.
I'm currently using a Linksys WRT1900ACS on FibreX 200, is it worth putting this new router in or keep running the linksys? Of note the Linksys has been very reliable for me.
jlittle: I never had a HG569, but I wonder if you could connect it to the Ultrahub with an ethernet cable, and have two different SSIDs?
Change the HG569's own IP address to avoid the Ultrahub's, turn off DHCP, and make the channels different.
It might "just work"; I've repurposed my old TP-Link as an AP like this, but the TP-Link said it could work like that on the box when I bought it.
mexako ... leaving aside the wifi for the moment, the Fibrex200 should be giving you within a cooee 200mbps download figures using a direct cabled computer.
I myself got FibreX200 a few months ago and always hit the 200mbps mark plus or minus 5%.
Ergo, sounds like something is awry with either the feed itself, or a faulty cable modem/router combination. Logically this is best sorted by the supplier and their technicians, viz. Vodafone.
In that regard I have always had good responses using nzconsumer.support@vodafone.com and vodafonenz_customer_services@mailsy.custhelp.com
but failing that just keep telephoning and as previously advised get an Incident Report Number.
PS Maybe you should also check to ensure there is no 'channel crowding' ... meaning wifi interference from neighbours' wifi networks?
inSSIDer and NetSpot and WifiAnalyser will help ascertain situation.
Can you run Ookla Speedtest (http://www.speedtest.net/) and post the result here?
The actual result screen captured, not just the figures.
are you confident that no one else was using the net when you ran that test?
I think that the SpeedTest download figure says it all ...
