Only Supa Prepay customers can utilise add-ons. The Broadband Lite and Surfer plans are add-ons.

Basically, classic Prepay users can't sign up to these.

I'm going to go for a seperate sim card primarily because I'd prefer to keep my mobile and data seperate.

It states "97%" as well and we know how true that is....

But yes, this is quite annoying for anyone on the better older prepaid plans. I finally moved over when they upped the expiration to 12 months from the stupidly low 2 or 3 or whatever it was, just inorder to add the free weekends addon when it came about - ended up only using it a couple of times and then getting rid of it. Put best mate on a while later only to get rid of it a couple of months later after gettign very frustrated at the process of going from 2 to 3 and then back to 2 of them later on.

1st pic: it most definitely says "To add this to your Supa Prepay account"

2nd pic: that's a generalisation. If you click on "Prepay" it links to a page to buy a Supa Prepay SIM with 100MB or 512MB plan.

So nowhere does it specifically say that you can get it on other plans.

While the "Prepay" heading should really say "Supa Prepay" it does clearly say at the bottom of the paragraph "Supa Prepay"

It just hard to understand why companies need more than one frigging "prepay" plan. It's prepay, everyone puts money in there, money is the same, charge the same...

One could extend that argument to why do they need any plan selection at all - they all charge for phone calls. And if you look at the insanity that is you choose with addons that you can only buy once it makes a very good case against the huge number of plans.

Hell, there are 12 options on the on account page, many of which are just variations on the addons etc. It also brings up the problem that someone who is prepared to trust vodafone upfront with money on prepay gets shafted when compared to someone that vodafone just hopes will pay for services they have already delivered.

But hey, we have known for a long time that vodafones pricing model has being broken since back to the bellsouth days with talk 200 and talk 300...

manhili what you might be TECHNICALLY correct, but it says "PREPAY" on all the material I've linked, whereas anything on VF SPECIFIC to Supa Prepay always says so.

Sure, the instructions say "to add this to Supa Prepay", but before this it describes it as a "PREPAY" plan. It doesn't say "you must have Supa Prepay", which would be a whole different matter.

VF ambiguity annoys, as do their inconsistencies.

I'm honestly tired of the greed, poor judgement, and taking customers for granted, and although I've been a long time opposer of Telecom, I'm 100% ready to give them a second chance.

Not liking my chances of getting decent data on XT though - their "test drive" campaign involves given x number of customers a new phone and 240MB (!!!) of monthly data to use. Reading in between the lines I don't believe their data plans will offer a lot more data than VF's current plans.

I'm a reasonably heavy user of data on my E71 and struggle to use much more than about 100MB / month - 240MB is a decent amount unless you are tethering or downloading a lot of songs/videos.

That's because Vodafone decided to put up their prices, but instead of letting people discover this, they brought out Super Prepay, which mostly has higher charges and had Bestmate. Sneakily they binned Motormouth which is a real cost saver now. Motormouth will save 40c a minute to calls to landlines or VF cellphones nights and weekends. Never pay more than 50c a minute on prepay!

The past is behind us, lets all look forward to the future.

The next few months will be very exciting :)

And for the first time in my 7 years as a Vodafone on account customer, I?m considering switching to Telecom directly because of Vodafone's poor customer service.

I'm hoping the XT network will have offers similar to Vodafones FAMILY. If they do, i'll switch the whole family over too.
