I gave up after waiting 4 days.
I know you're not happy, and went elsewhere, but give them a break mate. It's only been released for 10 days. Sure they have some teething troubles. Sh#t happens. If it's still this bad after a month, then you might be justified in heaping scorn on them. But for now I think they are allowed some slack.

I know it has only been released for ten days, but how long have we been waiting for it to be launched and going by comments it has been in beta testing for at least 4 months. Surely they expected a huge demand for the product?
I hardly feel that I have been heaping scorn on them but merely reflecting alot of other peoples comments on here as well.
As already stated in my previous messages I have been relativley happy with TCL up untill now, but feel that they have got this install so wrong. The fact that I found out on facebook about the install and are having to rely on staff on a forum to try and sort out my issues. Don't get me wrong I really appreiciated their help and what they tried to do to sort out my issues, but wonder about people who don't know about Geekzone.
When I contacted TCL by phone they told me it wasn't their problem and to contact Downer. I paid TCL to provide a service not Downer.
I realise that there will always be issues with bleeding edge technology and accept that, but there is no excuse for lack of communication with and bad customer service. A friend of mine had his installed one day after ordering it by a different installer go figure?
As I think it was starblazer, mentioned in one of his posts, my deal with Sky is only for 12 months and depending on what happens at TCL over that 12 months I may shift back to TCL for my TV.
Anyway BIGBADaboom don't take my comments so peronally and I am sure if I actually managed to get mine installed I would as happy with it as your are with yours.
Hope you enjoy it and when I check back here in 12 months all I will see is positive glowing reports on the T-box.
