I really like my VTV2.

It works fine on 100/20, connected via Ethernet over Powerline. I love that I can pause the news when my kids want to talk to me.

thanks @Linux for the tip about hiding the unsubscribed channels.

The only app on my wish list is Disney+.

If it were based on Android TV, then I'd like Chromecast support and the ability to side load apps, but I really cannot complain.

Benoire:

Have VF responsed to the stuttering issue?  The VF forum is quite in terms of VF feedback and @sansom is playing a different role is got quieter here too.

I had a few hours this morning, so spent the time going through ALL of the hoops to get a case open with VF for this stuttering/micro pause issue. I am hoping that I can at least get this issue escalated to the right channel within Vodafone. I have linked to this thread in my support conversations, to prove that it is a service issue, not local to my VTV devices, router, network, HDMI cable, ethernet cable, ONT, internet connection, those are all of the steps we ran through today 😞

I'm hoping that this isn't a problem that gets more inconsistent.. I'll probably need to pick one up for the time we move out of our home for insurance works...

Just rent a place that has dish and plug decoder in there, or one with Sky already.

I had to move out for earth quake repairs and house rented had T-Box, internet. It was place normally rented for people on holidays so short term rents.

This is really a terrible product , restarting and rebooting every couple of days really is a joke. Do they really test releases or another example of fragile rolling out products half assed with minimum testing as MVP. The customer experience is really terrible with this product .

I am one of the first to complain about products that I buy and review. But I have two VTVs, and found them to be pretty good, so surprised to see other people having issues. Although mine are hardwired into the home network.

Just switched on my TV this morning, Black screen up same as yesterday.

Reboot once again brought it back to working.

Why no official word  in here yet?

Mine have been great. They're also wired connections.

Now they're not great. The 'micro pauses' are really annoying.

Keep calm, and carry on posting.

Ah you've all jinxed it!
Went to watch some Duke on VTV, and for the first time ever I got the stuttering and pauses people have been describing.
Changing the channel then going back to it seemed to fix it, but was still a pain.

I'm on 2degrees Fibre 900/400 with a wired connection to the VTV box, which is a gen2 one I bought from the warehouse, just in case that helps narrow anything down.

The micro pauses / occasional pixelation / occasional black screen have gotten pretty bad the past couple of days.

Gen 1, Christchurch on HFC Max (direct connected to Ultra Hub)

But reboots aren't needed, either comes right by itself or changing channel or waiting a couple of minutes.

@Sansom and @ZollyMonsta Tonight I had the first blank screen on channels after turning on VTV. This happened after I turned it off while watching a Youtube video. Going back into YouTube after getting the blank screens on channels of freeview/Skytv channels and playing a video followed by exiting with the exit button fixed the channels.
This implies there is an intermittent close down bug when powering off VTV while watching YouTube without exiting first.

@IvanPiacun That bug was fixed on my VTV by changing the HDMI cable from port 1 to port 3 on my TV

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

I think it's time to realise Vodafone has turned to other things now. Shame as the little box is really good but the small bugs are really going to make consumers unhappy with it.

I can’t help thinking this will go the same way as other services like igloo etc. This will be dropped by Vodafone in the not too distant future

I guess this was the point I was attemptign to make a few days ago; if its not returning enough money in this climate it will most likely be left to rot as loss leaders are probably not a great thing at the moment!
