Teza: So i have decided to take the plunge, mainly based on the $35 it will save me oevr my current set up, free install and the ease of one bill etc.
With luck I wont regret it, if not i can alwasy go back to sky
Redr0c: I've been a Paradise / Saturn / Telstra customer for many years and had my T-Box installed on Wednesday after visiting their Wellington store last week. So far I'm very impressed by it, it's very simple to use and convenient and I have finally decommissioned my VHS.
Occasionally there is a bit of picture stutter, but no worse than the 'Rain Fade' you usually get with Sky channels when there's a storm.
The only issue I have is that there is no sound on TV3 - does anyone else have this problem?
Cheers,

ZollyMonsta: The Sky Channels are direct pass-through with no 'dicking round' with them.
Yes, Full Dolby 5.1 (programme dependant) is available over SPDIF optical out.

Hey Redr0c,
Channel 3 has an alternative audio channel that when I switch to it I also get no sound, maybe you need to change this to the other audio channel?
When you first change to channel 3 a box should popup saying options, click that colour button (not sure what colour of the top of my head)

ChristineNZL: So it's 9 pm Saturday evening and my online TV guide still only shows programmes up to Sunday. When does it update? The brochure says the guide shows the programmes for the next 7 days. We only got it installed on Monday so this is our first week. Thanks.

Check your modem is online/working and do a restart of your T-Box.

Thanks. I will give that a go. As we are still in our first week I wasn't sure what was "normal".
BigBadaboom: Is anyone else experiencing box crashes? I've had mine crash three times now. I get a blank screen and there is no response to input (via remote or front panel button).
Just want to know if it's the software, or if I have a dodgy box...
