MikeB4: My internet connection started to dropout last night at around 10pm. Disappointing.
Me too - at about 10pm - found a new IP address in the morning.
Island Bay, FibreX 200, node WKH3.
Sideface
MikeB4:*sigh* following drop outs last night my speed today is showing a significant drop .... to Wellington server <10km getting 19ms ping, 187.7mbps download and 78mbps upload.
If you power cycle the router and modem, does the speed return?

I will soon, right now it would be more than my life is worth to cut the internet connection ![]()
Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.
@mikeb4 - please see this new thread
Firmware update coming soon.
Techs should be around tomorrow morning for the fibre install. Hooray!
Okay with the office empty I have rebooted the TC440 and HG659. Speed is close to what it was yesterday that is 897mbps download and 94.6mbps upload and 9ms ping. Shouldn't need to reboot every few days, this is silly.
I am not sure what would be the next step

It depends on the monthly fee he is paying. I know I am on an attractive deal that would make it silly to switch to fibre atm.

I am on a discount, I am from memory paying circa $95 per month for Fibre X Gigabit. I will pay more to have a stable connection which is very important to us.

I agree, I am not concerned about the prospect of paying more for UFB if it gives me an acceptable service. I am always accepting that nothing is perfect but since the move from the previous version of Cable to DOCSIS 3.1 the service is far from perfect.
