To confirm:
- Sky have asked Vodafone to continue to operate VTV until 30 November for all customers.
- There was a glitch just after mid-day today that affected some customers and is now resolved. Apologies for the inconvenience caused.
- Sky now owns and bills the VTV service, and has contracted Vodafone to continue its support of VTV for both Sky and non-Sky subscribers.
- I have investigated the situation with Three News restart rights. Vodafone has not changed any of the restart metadata rights, apis or settings and we continue to simply pass through the rights provided by our content suppliers. We obtain the Three News rights supplied by Discovery via Sky. Sky have confirmed they have not made any changes also, so the current settings and any changes to the rights must have come from Discovery.

Not sure when it happened but I just checked Three on VTV and the four-weeks-missing ‘restart’ function has re-appeared.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
I still haven't heard anything from Sky about actually ordering a new box or dongle.
They're going to be struggling to get the new equipment out to all vtv users who want one by the end of November unless they've got a good stockpile and some very good logistics already in place.
Another extension to the deadline might be looming?

That's for people subscribing direct with Sky. I haven't seen anything yet for subscribers who need to replace their Vodafone TV by the end of November.

Thanks
Just logged into my Sky account, pre-ordered the dongle.
Note if you want 10% off your current Sky subscription today is the last day.
I originally got Sky through Vodafone as part of Vodafone TV and early in the year it was changed to direct bill from Sky (had to create and account and got a sky account number) but delivered via Vodafone. You need to have at least ( or going to get by 30 Nov) Sky Starter to use the dongle.

Many of us who have never had any other Vodafone services (apart from subscribing to Sky via Vodafone) weren't transferred to Sky billing. The billing has remained the same (monthly credit card billing to Vodafone TV), and we don't have a Sky account login, only a login to the Vodafone TV website (which still has the function to start and stop Sky services).
We got an email from Sky on September 22 saying to sit tight and wait for more information, and then we would be able to order a new box and transfer to billing direct with Sky. That hasn't happened yet.

Ah didn't know that. I got broadband and landline and TV through Vodafone (as well as two Sky packages). I will continue with broadband and VOIP phone through Vodafone cable. I have Chorus fibre installed to enable a switch to another provider if Vodafone becomes less competitive.
I imagine most vtv users are in the same situation as me, and still being billed by Vodafone with no direct Sky account.
I suspect it's looking increasingly unlikely that Sky will be able to meet the end of November shutdown deadline now. Switching over potentially tens of thousands of people in about 7 weeks is a tough call (unless they lose a lot of customers along the way).
Something to note, it appears if you want two boxes - we've had two since the start of 2007 - Sky portal will charge for multiroom, which is an additional $25 (less 10%) per month....
TelstraClear and Vodafone frequently gave away the second subscription charge - but its brave new world territory

Yeah, I ordered the Pod and looked at the option of a second one for the bedroom but that would be another $100 for a second one plus the $25 a month for multiroom (less 10% for the first year) so not doing that. I figure since it only needs an internet connection and no wiring or anything it should be easy enough to just take it from the lounge to bedroom TV and plug it in if we want to.
Is support for Vodafone TV winding down, as this morming I am getting Channel not subscribed messages, and problem connecting on both of my Vodafone TV boxes? It's not my internet becasue that works fine streaming Youtube form a Laptop. Also one of my boxes said that it needed to be reset, which I did not do! I thas now come right.

I've been getting this problem quite regularly in the past couple of weeks, including for about an hour yesterday.
