maverick:
so those of us that have already switched will have 75gb off-peak to use before june 1? or will the allowance be reduced for this partial month?

No, you will have the full 75 Gig

It would be quite a challenge to consume 75 GB offpeak in the remainder of this month, as it would require an average of almost 2 Mbps continuously, every night.
However, I'm sure a few of the people on this forum will step up and give it a go!

Just to be slightly off topic a bit .

Here's a suggestion

When new users join river, flood, fusion plan and say are connected on the 23rd of the month. You still get billed the full amount however you have only use the plan for like 7 days before your plan renews

I think there should be a part charge if people were to join before a certain date

My friend was connectd on the 21st and he was charged the full amount that month so it seems pretty unfair.

When I was first connected to Fusion, early in a month, I was charged $55 for that month. So, for me it was pro-rata for what was used...

Yeah that happened to me. Switched from River to Fusion a week into April and got charged for the whole month or the river plan. Rang up and they sorted it (hopefully, as my bank account still hasnt been charged as I'm paying by direct debit). When do direct debit customers get charged?

Actually I believe it should be pro-rata for the plans, with the torrent paln we have made it easy on you and us and it's 75Gb no matter when you join in the month.... so thats not to bad either is it , unless of course you want us to pro-rata that as well Wink

Pack of coffee to the person who signs up to this plan on the 30th, ready to use their whole 75GB of off peak data that night! Of course, you will need a constant 21.333Mbps of download speed for the entire 8 hours of downloading. he-he!

I switched over to Torrent last night and managed 5.2 gigs in the allotted off peak time so i doubt i'll get to 75 by months end but still, this seems to be a great plan for me so thanks Xnet :D

We do pro rata billing when customers connect, we bill from the date we get confirmation from Telecom that the line has been connected.  If he's concerned he should call Customer Care and get them to take a look at his bill.
