I'd like to get as big an SD card as possible for my Ipaq 5500.

Will a 2Gb work? And am I limited to 16x speed?

Or do I need to stick to 1Gb 16x?

2GB should work but bear in mind that faster cards are not good for older Pocket PCs.

Hi Freitasm,

Thanks for the answer. Can you elaborate a little? How are the faster/bigger cards not good. I have heard
you can get compatibility conflicts. I tried my phone's fast 2Gb miniSD card with the SD adapter and it seemed to work OK.

Is damage likely to occur
- over time
-to the card
- to the pda's firmware or hardware

If I do get a 2GB card should I then stick to a 16x card?

A lot of questions, I know and Im thankful for any answers that may be provided

If you tried a SD Card and it worked ok then get one of the same brand... Different manufacturers use different techniques to achieve faster speeds, and some may not be compatible with older SD standards.
