I'm on Telecom, my fiance is on Vodafone. Twice recently we've had issues where text messages didn't arrive as expected. I know it's not a guaranteed service, but it'd be good if someone could look into it.

A few weeks ago (I could confirm the date and time but don't have it on me) I was getting messages from Vodafone, but my replies weren't making it back. It caused some problems.

This morning we were exchanging messages fine, but the last one (the time I was meant to meet her to collect something) didn't arrive. I have exact times for that one that I can supply, along with phone numbers.

I'm not sure if my replies (test messages, not important) are reaching her now. She's not replying, but she may just be busy at work.

Hi,

I'm not getting 2Degrees (my wife) to Vodafone (me) TXTs either; nor the TXTs generated by my Internet Banking.

And www.vodafone.co.nz is down (Server 500 error).

I think they've got problems.

EDIT: Sorry, forgot my Wife was on 2Degrees - still an 021 number, it gets confusing!

I can take a look from A party side Vodafone to Telecom DM me the example time and date

Hi,

OK, my mistake in my earlier reply - forgot my wife was on 2Degrees now.  Vodafone "on net" TXTs are fine.

Still not getting anything off-net (i.e. from banking 2factor login to Internet Banking).

www.vodafone.co.nz still giving "500 - Server Error".

Have PM'ed JohnR with some more detail.

Same problem this morning.
Texts between wife on Telecom and myself on VF were ok earlier but I apparently missed one recently (according to the email that I subsequently received pointing out I didn't read her text).
Was sent by her between 9:30 and 9:35.
Potentially related to the system issues VF are having currently?

Can't see any issues about the sms's not working listed on the network status pages of either telecom or vodafone's twitter account ... ( vodafone's website is down, i've tried from three isps.. - assuming that's unrelated )

I've just now received a whole bunch of off-net TXTs; so it looks like they've sorted the problem out.

Voice and SMS are handled very different they don't interconnect on the same route / hardware
