We're about to move to Christchurch from Adelaide.  I'm used to naked DSL with VOIP, thank you ADAM.  Our new house is in the telstracable area so this seems like a good option but they don't support VOIP.  Am I able to just plug in (and configure) my current wireless router and DECT phone and subscribe to a local service such as 2talk?

For others in the house a standard handset and dial tone is necessary. I am not an IT pro and we're after a stable "appliance", ps we're a Mac household (if that makes any difference).

Thank you for the advice.

Hi, dont understand you concern about TCL/Voda not supporting VOIP, yes they dont support it because they sell no VOIP services themselves, but does not mean that somehow their network wont support VOIP.

I work with literally dozens on of schools on the TCL HFC network and whom use multiple VOIP trunks to feed their PABX's, works a treat.

Cyril
